History

For four generations, the Asti family has been organizing summer holidays for kids in Bellamonte, in Trentino Alto Adige, continuing an educational journey that began with the Istituto San Celso in Milan in the early 1900s. The cognizance of the great responsibility and effectiveness of the role of the educator has always remained unchanged: the children and their needs are the central focus of our summer camp, and our professional staff ensures the kids have a safe, enjoyable and educational vacation.

The objectives

Our camp helps children to develop self-esteem, discover talents and abilities, improve communication and emotional IQ.  It’s a holiday to help young people grow while having fun.  We believe in the values of fairness, solidarity, respect and sharing.  Thus the camp creates a pleasant environment and a varied and balanced vacation program rich in stimuli. The Bellamonte International Camp is also located in a unique place from a naturalistic point of view with a breathtaking view of the Pale di San Martino mountain system, one of the nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Dolomites.

The mountains

Living in the mountains is the great experience of our camp! During summer camp, the kids learn to grasp and appreciate the beauty of nature and to act knowledgeably in a picturesque environment like that of the Dolomites.
Walking in the mountains, taking part in backpacking trips, experiencing the thrill of rafting, camping out, and the many other outdoor activities are all the “little big” challenges that relate to the culture and life in the mountains.

The staff

The staff of the Bellamonte International Camp is made up of native English speaking teachers, teachers with CELTA certification, P.E. and science teachers, athletes with previous summer camp experience and a passion for the mountains.  A mountaineering instructor and a geologist supervise the trips ensuring the safety of the children. The staff to camper ratio is about 1 to 10 but for the 6 years-olds, the ratio is 1 to 5.  In addition to the camp leaders, a registered nurse is always present and available 24/7.
